I'm not one to throw up a lot of music into my blog.. partly cuz everyone else does it, and you know how i feel about followers... *wink*

D&G Goin Retro FABULOUS!!!

I love the 50's... and would have no problem donning a poodle skirt or some capris and saddle shoes, so imagine my giddiness with Dolce and Gabbana's new fall/winter 2011 retro line for the guys!!! 
It's basically AMAZING and sooooo much fun!! 
No word on what the womens line will look like, but it DOES look like a 50's party needs to be in the works! 

It's the {hand} Cream of the Crop!

Living in Denver, means a lot of things... like wearing flip fliops throughout the year... listening to 'wild west' remarks from outta towners... getting to experience all four seasons (sometimes in the same day) .. and your skin ALWAYS needing extra moisture in the winter!! 

As for me, i have an issue keeping my hands moisturized, probably because i wash my hands a million times a day, so i'm always on the look out for a good hand cream!.

So i have picked my top four and i bring them to YOU!

1. L'Occitane Shea Butter Hand Cream

One the high end of the hand cream scale, we have L'Occitane's Shea butter HEAVEN!! 

At $26 a bottle this is the highest price hand cream on my list.. but with  Shea Butter, honey and sweet almond extract it's sooo worth it!! and can be purchased HERE

2. Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment.

The second highest priced ($17.00) hand cream is Elizabeth Arden's Eight Hour Cream Intensive Moisturizing Hand Treatment. Once you get past the medicinal smell.. it's the best thing i've ever put my hands on or on my hands.. whatever! a favorite among nurses and teachers... you should really give it a try. buy it HERE!!

3.Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream

 Next on my list is Aveeno Intense Relief Hand Cream. This is an under $5 picks and with it's rich emollients and oatmea.. you are moisturized up to 24hrs after washing hands.

4. Barrielle's Professional Protective Hand Cream

Finally i have the last of the four.. Barrielle's Professional Protective hand Cream.. priced at $16 it contains Vitamin E, Lanolin oil and Wheat Germ Oil. and can be found HERE

i'm talking about pasta..twirlin pasta!! I have a had a pasta roller for quite sometime (garage sale score for $5) but have  never used it. So on a whim one night after watching The Sopranos, yeah blaming it on HBO) i decided to go for it!! Not a bad whirl for the first time around i might add!!

Ingredients

• 2 cups all-purpose flour
• 2 cups semolina flour
• 1 pinch salt
• 6 large eggs
• 2 tablespoons olive oil

Directions

1. Thoroughly sift together all-purpose flour, semolina flour, and pinch of salt.

2.  On a clean surface, make a mountain out of flour mixture then make a deep well in center. Break the eggs into the well and add olive oil. Whisk eggs very gently with a fork, gradually incorporating flour from the sides of the well. When mixture becomes too thick to mix with a fork, begin kneading with your hands.

3. Knead dough for 8 to 12 minutes, until it is smooth and supple. 

4. Dust dough and work surface with semolina as needed to keep dough from becoming sticky.

5.  Wrap dough tightly in plastic and allow it to rest at room temperature for 30 minutes.

6. Roll out dough with a pasta machine or a rolling pin to desired thickness. 

7.  

Cut into your favorite style of noodle or stuff with your favorite filling to make ravioli. 8.  Bring water to a boil in a large pot, then add 4 teaspoons salt. Cook pasta until tender but not mushy, 1 to 8 minutes depending on thickness.

9.  Drain immediately and toss with your favorite sauce.

While the pasta was cooking,  i fanagled a sauce that would have knocked your socks off!!

1 lb of turkey sausage

1 bunch of Kale

2 cloves of galic

2 cups chicken stock

 1/2 cup heavy cream

1. brown sausage and drain

2. when browned add smashed garlic cloves and kale

3. when kale is wilted, add chicken stock and heavy cream and let reduce to desired thickness

4. Toss in homeade pasta and enjoy!!
